We swam every day, drank wine and wrote songs for my second album. I find it hard to describe the magic of this place. There’s something alien and indescribable about the energy of the house and the gardens. We walked into Ballyvaughan and ate seafood regularly. Daithi and Norma are caring and deadly hosts. As 2020 quickly gave way to a year in which live events were put on hold, my partner Norma and I jumped at the chance to renovate a stunning home in my native Clare. The goal was to create the perfect space for artists, writers, musicians and other creatives to work on their projects at their own pace in an environment that will hopefully play an important part in what they ultimately conjure up.
